Zumba Fitness Dance Class

Efective February 22, 2010, new Zumba class sechedule

Monday nights 6:30 - 7:30 PM, and an "express class" from 7:30 to 8:15 PM

Tuesday nights "express class" from 6:00 - 6:45 PM

Thursday nights 6:15 - 7:15 PM, and an "express class" from 7:15 - 8:00 PM

Walk-in rate

$5.00 for 45-minute "express" classes

$6.00 for one-hour classes

$42.00 for punch card good for both "express" and 1 hour classes

Zumba is a fusion of Latin and international rhythms used to combine dance and fitness moves to create a unique high-energy low impact fitness class.

Zumba is great for anyone---male or female---of any fitness level. You do not need to have any dance experience or fitness training. You just have to be willing to enjoy yourself. All you need is some comfortable “athletic” type sneaker/shoe (no heels) as you will be moving, some water and a towel (just a small one) as you will be sweating.
Zumba spices up your body with some salsa, merengue, cha cha, and cumbia rhythms.

Zumba is a non-intimidating way to get healthy. The music is upbeat, the movements are easy, and the class is fun! It doesn’t feel like exercise… but it is.

QCB Performance Teams

Queen City Ballroom offers you the opportunity to participate in our dance performance team. All are welcome regardless of dance experience. Our dance team performs three times per year, and new members are accepted in January, April, and October. Teams are now formed for our next performance on April 11, 2010 at the Rockingham Ballroom in Newmarket. New team members will be accepted in late April 2010.

Sunday Night Party

Every Sunday night from 6:00 - 9:00 PM (following the sampler lesson, 5:15 - 6:00 PM) - $9.00 per person. See Beginner Sampler Group Classes for more information on the Sunday Night Sampler lessons)

Dance to a variety of fine music including Latin, swing, ballroom and specialty. Our wooden floor is finished "just right" for dancing and we have a fabulous sound system. Singles and couples of all ages and ability levels are welcome. The crowd is the friendliest around... come and check us out!

Your first Sunday Night party is free!

Wednesday West Coast Swing Dance Groove

Every Wednesday night from 8:15 - 10:00 PM, following the Beginner and Beyond Beginner West Coast Swing dance lessons taught by instructor Anne Fleming.

Appropriate for all levels. Beginner friendly. Singles and couples welcome. No alcohol served or permitted.

$9 per person or 1 punch includes the West Coast Swing lessons and Dance Groove (See Wednesday West Coast Swing Dance Lessons for more information on the West Coast Swing dance lessons)
